City council

I am beginning to wonder if our council is in free fall.
We have a problem with mayors, electoral mayors, who runs the council?
Now the chief executive quits, some of us have had contact with Steve Robinson, and my personal opinion is that he was trying his best to turn the council around, maybe he has thought that he will not be able to do achieve this, so quit.
We have elected councillors that will not work with other councillors, because of what they stand for, so why have elections, I thought that people voted, and the majority vote meant they were the ones that made the decisions.
Another fact that I cannot grasp is we have departments that deal with civil law, they tend to work 9 to 5, anti social, enforcing smoking bans etc, most of which occur outside office hours, then need the help of the police, police are meant to deal with criminal law, not civil, we hear all the time that the council works with the police, I think it is more a case that the council dumps its problems onto the police, (horse problems on RMW) case in point.
Do we know who our ward councillors are, as none have been in contact with this website, and all have been told this website exists.

Did you know that our area

Did you know that our area is covered by 3 councillors, 1 MP, and 7 MEPs, and it is only our MP Joan Walley who seems to care as to what happens to us.

But you have to be

But you have to be realistic, those in power are there for their own good, not yours or mine. For example, land owning councillors in the area where my parents live have a habit of granting themselves planning permission to build houses, entertainment complexes and the like on their own land. And no-one dares mention that it might represent a conflict of interest. How can we trust these people. More importantly, why should we?

We have found that our Local

We have found that our Local Councillors ebb and flow.
We have two who are brilliant and will try to sort things out for us, and we have others who don't seem to bother.

We don't have any Councillor input on our NWSRCF website, but we do have Police input and I try to keep the NHW and Community Watchdog information up-to-date, and of course we have our Community Members who have an input.

Although they may not join your site, they will visit as a Guest and see what is happening. It is human instinct to be intrigued. lol
