OOO, great minds think

OOO, great minds think alike, WM, was just thinking of posting something about that noisy great beast hovering, it's gone off towards Hanley now, but, yes, there was one earlier in the week too.

You missed the mention of the 2 louts that have just gone up the road shouting obscenities, maybe that's who the chopper was after????

I am not in touch with the chopper, but I believe they may have been to another job, and were asked to have a look for the two mini bikes that have been plaguing our streets tonight, it is a shame that Staffordshire do not have their own chopper, but have to share it with West Midlands, and West Mercia police, my opinion, is that the helicopter is, or can be a great deterrent, no one posts of a police car going past, but a chopper in the sky brings people out, even though the helicopters used are meant to be as quiet as a helicopter can be, good on these guys, wish there were more.

Police Choppers may soon be a thing of the past when these drones are introduced to our police force.

Merseyside police, who to be honest, have a much more difficult task than our police force, have found these tools a massive benefit to their working days, and they are much more efficient.

I quite agree, these UAVs,

I quite agree, these UAVs, of which our company produce, are very good, however they cannot keep up with the vehicles stolen from our streets, and to kit them out actually costs more than helicopters.

Sharky, told me the other

Sharky, told me the other day that he spotted a gang of teenagers on bikes roaming the swallows rise estate at 5 in the morning.

I can't see any reason why kids would be doing that expect for opportunistic reasons.

I wouldn't put anything past kids. A couple of years ago when I lived in Andrew Mulligan Close the bloke across the road had this very nice car nicked by a group of teenagers who'd scouted his house, used a stick with a hook to grab the keys from a coffee table at the bottom of his hallway, and steal the car.

Make sure alarms are on and your fences are shut.

Do we have any members of the NHW reading? If so a quick question, do you get updates about crimes like these, and if so, could you pass them onto the site please, or use the contact form if you don't want to post and the info will be relayed.

Cheers

The police have been

The police have been informed of the lads on bikes, at 5 in the morning. Regarding the NHW getting updates, they often received them at the meetings, and then relayed them through the newsletters.

Quarterly meetings? I bet

Quarterly meetings? I bet the last set of warnings will be out of date by the time the newsletter arrives.

If any one from the last Nhw meeting has any notes that I can share with our readers, you can send them as a message using the contact us form, private message to me, or as a blog post or forum post.

I was going to Tunstall

I was going to Tunstall park, if it ever stops raining, I was going to ask our neighbourhood bobbies if they could send some updates, also I was going to ask our councillor, who is on the fire and rescue committee, if there is any news on the fire station.

Don't forget to ask them to
