"Can ya tell what it is yet ? "

Going down Reg Mitch Way after the roundabout at Chatterley Valley, there is a border of green plastic erected along the side of the road on each side.

From my bedroom window, looking across the hills towards Newcastle, I can see the same green plastic fence stretching right across the hills and then heading down towards the building work at Chatterley Valley. It must be 2 miles long in all.

Whats it all about, anyone know?

Hmmmm... Never really seen

Hmmmm... Never really seen any problems with badgers in this area and your right the green fence can be seen along the A500 up by the other side of of Jnc 16...... I'm gonna give Radio Stoke a call today, and hopefully they will be able to get an idea of what it is.
Might be some form of crazy art work that can olny be seen from the air, funded by our crazy council...LOL Smile

THE GREEN

THE GREEN PLASTIC........
The green plastic around the hedgerows of stoke. from what i was told to to stop litter and make the grass verges more green hence they have laid meters of new turf where the hedge overhands, its just a big tidy up by CC...not just in stoke in cheshire too

Hmmm. I can appreciate that

Hmmm. I can appreciate that it works along the road side, but if you look across the hills towards Newcastle....across and beyond the A500...It zig zags across openfields? Where there are no roads? I can see it clearly from front bedroom window which faces out towards the A500.

Kind of what I thought then,

Kind of what I thought then, its to keep badgers and hedgehogs off the newly laid turf as they are known not to be able to walk along planks.
