"The results of the recent consultation about the future governance of Stoke on Trent were published yesterday. The consultation costing around £120,000 of taxpayers money was designed to find out whether the people Stoke want an Elected Mayor and Cabinet or a Leader of the Council and Cabinet. Councillors vote on 11 September to decide which system they prefer, taking into consideration the results, and then there will be a referendum. A MORI poll was also carried out as part of the consultation."
