Has there been a disagreement between this site or has something happened to our NHW group. I find it disturbing that after such an event we have had a reply from an outside NHW giving us advice when our own group do or can not.
If there is or was a problem could we not resolve it, to the benefit of us all.
We used to have a very useful and sometimes entertaining newsletter, can we not get that back, i am sure we could get a few people to contribute articles.
I feel we are missing out despite all of WM's efforts on some important information regarding local events, crimes etc etc.
If its is only there by name, does that mean our home contents insurance discount is affected????

I'm glad someone else has raised this issue again.
It's always been like this, even before I had a moan about it last time.
Apparently at the last meeting they'd agreed to funnel things onto the site through a 3rd part, but I can't say I've ever seen anything on the site that either Mark (sharky) or Me have put on.
I only get alerts when I'm scouting the police site, and because there is no RSS feed yet, I can't keep an eye on it.
If as you say they've all gone away, then there are enough members on this site who have done everything they can to benefit the community with their own alerts, chat, advice and so on that we can resurrect the phoenix that is Bankeyfields NHW.
We'll need someone to head this ( Soryy not me, I'm about to be a Dad again in the next few weeks so you'll be seeing less and less of me for a bit - although I'll do everything I can to launch this as it benefits us all.) to gather all the 3rd parties together such as exisiting NHW members, police, and Bankeyfeild Website members, who've been doing a good job of raising awareness of issues.
Imagine a NHW scheme on for this neighbourhood that EVERYONE gets instant feedback, thats what I wanted all along, sadly it never happened.
Thanks Popeye for raising this, and a big thanks to DawnD for taking time out from Netmums and North West Stafford Rural Forums, Speight of the Art Foundation and being a Mum her self to help us out, she's helped out whilst we've been flagging.
I was never involved with
I was never involved with the site when NHW was about, so I have nothing to compare the current situation to. But I have to completely applaud everything that is done on the site.
I would be happy to be involved in the NHW sceme, but dont have sufficient time to help set it up. But as I say, I'm more than happy to play a role.

WM I have spoken to one of the shall I say it "former" NHW co ordinators over the weekend and the story seems to be that since Tony has moved, no one is leading them and it appears that none of the co ordinators that "were" are willing to take up the reins.Also I am sad to say they appear not to want to participate on this web site. If any of the NHW do still look at this site I am more than willing to stand corrected if you wish to reply.

Well i would be still doing it, if it was not for a few petty individuals complaining about where i parked my car, instead of supporting me.. and the gratitude paid to tony cooper for all his hard work was the nail in the coffin for me ! moan moan moan moan !

web monkey works dam hard on this site, lord knows why he has stuck with it, but the reason i`m sure is he believes ! and if anyone deserves the respect on par with tony cooper its web monkey...unbridled optimism and drive..good on you..! most just follow behind... well take the lead for a change show WM you are behind him , and give the guy some help...anyone can talk...but doing is what counts.
I am naming no names...so no reason to blame.
this website is the future of nhw on this estate and it is for all of us to get involved...

If you can imagine a NHW
If you can imagine a NHW scheme were every member of a community could be a co-ordinator. All you had to do was visit this site, see the latest reports and be vigilant.
Report your own experiences, so other members of your community can also be on the look out.
Imagine not having to wait 4 months to find out about scams and crimes.
Theres enough of us here now to sort our flagging NHW.
To answer Steve GS's question as to why I stick it out?
1. I live here, my family lives here, I want it to be a decent place t live in.
2. Support of my neighbours.(not just me all of us)
I've met people on this site who I feel I could turn to in times when I need support, like the support that's been given over the last few days over the fire work incident
3) Community.
Because we are a new estate, we didn't have the old networks that make a solid community - such as a pub, family, friends. This sites helps to bridge some of those divides.
Everyone sould step forward and say what can I do to help protect my patch, even if it's to offer support of those that do.

Hear hear WM- you and sharky were there for me when I had issues, which are actually still ongoing! I totally agree that without something to pull us all together, new estates are a faceless society.
Without this site, I would never have got to know WM, sharky, the Steves or Ghost. Equally, it's turing out to be beneficial to my new practice too- gaining a handful of clients and a few more people who buy food and accessories from me, so thanks for that.
Shame the BBQ never happened, but on a positive note, we are having an official open day at the practice (stop sighing!!!) on 30th November (a Sunday) 12-4pm. Everyone invited, light refreshments available as well as advice from various companies as well as ourselves, and you can get to see all of the workings of my new practice along with some of the 'toys' and gadgets we have. At the last open day we had over 250 people, made the local paper and had an excellent increase to the level of business we are doing.

We've had some people filling in the HOW SAFE IS YOUR CHILD survey but we need more.
I've also had some concerned parents email these messages
"hi matt our children are 9 years of age and a group of us mums go across the park to supervise our children because we feel our children are not safe. even us mums have had trouble with children from the summerbank area. the abuse we have acured from children is unbelievable.one of the children was carrying a knife which scared us never mind our children."
"We had trouble at the beginning of the year (can't remember when) with fireworks. I contacted the police then..as they were pointing the fireworks at the play area, not into the air. I challenged the youths doing it...they moved on a short distance and then while I was contacting the police, they let off the firework...at the play area which was full of children."
Hi we have not long joined
Hi we have not long joined this web site and was wandering what NHW means? We had our previous dog treated at the vets in Newcastle by James aka congletonvets before he started up his own vets and found him to great with our dog so it is good to read he is doing great.

If you wish to have information sent directly to you for admission on to this website then all you need to do is to register with your local Neighbourhoodwatch Manager at your local Police Station.
He/she will then send you a recorded message of any untoward occurances in your area.
Then all you need to do is to put them on this site.
I would do it for you, but living in Bignall End, means that the messages I get do not cover your area.
