Do you have any photos from on the day you'd like posting onto the site? All you have to do is .

One of the biggest events in Stoke-on-Trent is taking place this week, as this coming Sunday will see Tunstall's Victoria Park, transformed into the Stoke Lions Tunstall Carnival.
The money raised goes towards local causes such as such as Christmas presents for children and a local women's refuge, financial help to aid the provision of a school trip for disadvantage/disabled children at a local school.
Don Wood - one of the events organisers from Stoke-on-Trent Lions, is really looking forward to the Terrier Racing, as they were so entertaining they had to book them again.

Good news, I've heard the weekend is going to be dry. Fingers crossed for Tunstall Carnival.
Sunday
Day weather
Me and my Family have been the past two carnivals, and even though the weather was poor for the last one, they were both excellent days. Besides which all of the proceeds go to local charities.

Great event
Spent the afternoon at Tunstall Carnival, great atmosphere, great events for kids of all ages and kids / parents / grandparents also involved in some of the displays that were put on.
Plenty of bins for rubbish collection and even park attendants / council attendants cleaning up any rubbish that didn't make it to the bins.
Our nearly 6 year old enjoyed the rides and the displays and saw lots of friends from his class at school.
Not sure what parking was like around the park as we parked in the car park by the Police Station and walked down (free parking on a Sunday!) good job as we were only going to put 2 hours on a ticket and stayed for about 3 1/2 hrs as there was that much to look at.
Will be attending next year when it is on as well - and the weather held out as well.
Thanks WM for publishing the details on here.
I'd just like to congratulate
I'd just like to congratulate the Stoke Lions for putting on this event. They pulled off another great Tunstall Carnival.
Somehow, they even managed to stop the rain, which threatened all morning, and no doubt caused them worries during Saturday as it more or less rained all afternoon and night.
But a lot of grey clouds didn't put people off, and judging by the number of cars (which we did, as we had to do a few laps of Tunstall park to find a parking space), there was a really big turn out.
Our clan had a really good afternoon, with the kids playing at the fair, eating ice cream and watching the shows.
Geordie Jez Avery's bike show was the stand out show of the day for us (we may well have missed others as we didn't get there till 2), but Jez, a cycle and motorbike stunt man, put on a few tricks and jumps, whilst entertaining through out with his quips and one liners.
The only bad thing on the day were the inflated prices of the balloon man (geddit?), and his poor not tying skills, which saw our little un's kitty balloon sail over Jez's head, after the not securing the balloon and string slipped. I suppose it's one way to get repeat business.
I also bumped into Don Wood, one of the Stoke Lion organisers, who quietly admitted he was looking forward to 5 o'clock had, had a brilliant day, and was pleased to see so many happy faces. Don said that the Stoke Lions would now be looking for worthy local causes.
If you can think of how a worthy cause in Tunstall can benefit from the Stoke Lions fund raising, please get in touch. Information can be found on the Stoke Lions Website
I can not belive that people
I can not belive that people get in the car to go to Tunstall Park its only a 10 minute walk down the Greenway. You have all probably spent longer looking for a parking space or parking up than it takes to walk there. Especially if you go on the Little Chell Lane entrance.
Ah, you see you mock, but as
Ah, you see you mock, but as it threatened to poor down, we didn't want to be caught out with the little un's.
If it was a nice day, we'd have gladly walked (if little Liams legs were up for it), it's just a quick stroll down the Tunstall Northern Bypass.
Besides a 10min stroll for you is a 40min headache for us. Long live the combustion engine.
Update: here's what google makes of your timings, and I've never know google to be wrong once
Suggested routes
A527 1.3 mi 26 mins
High St/A50 and Furlong Rd 1.5 mi 28 mins
Furlong Rd 1.7 mi 33 mins
Kitty We did see Kitty flying
Kitty
We did see Kitty flying in the sky and I said hope that's not Chloe's. I will say though in the space of 2 mins, there was also a Dora and Thomas that learnt to fly.
The thing is they are high on
The thing is they are high on helium, these balloons think they can do anything, and when one starts the rush to run off, they're all at it.
Either that, or the balloon seller has a clever knot which unravels 10 mins after purchased.
Matt I do belive you meant
Matt I do belive you meant "pour down" I know times are hard but you are not destitute yet. Your google times are a bit suspect but I would argue that they are road routes and I did say use the Greenway, much shorter thus quicker.
Some good reasons to get the little ones walking now.
1) It saves you money on fuel bills
2) It is better for the enviroment
3) It keeps your kids fit Oh and you.
4) It gets the kids used to walking otherwise you will have to be a taxi driver for next 17 years
5) You do not have to listen to "Are we there yet"
