Goldenhill Community Fun Day - 21st August 2010 + Gallery
Well the day promised in the morning to be nice, then it rained, then it drizzled, but it still didn't deter people from turning out.
SAGE pulled out all of the stops to put on an super event, which was nicely located next to the main road, so anyone passing who didn't know, could easily pull in and have fun.
Tom Simpson, vice chairman of SAGE was happy with the day, even though hampered by the weather, and the headline bands had absconded to the V festival, pointing out the happy people at the fare.
I also met Ruth Haigh from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue who was talking through some of the possibilities of the community room over at the all new Staffordshire Fire Station.
21st August will see one of the biggest dates in the Golden/Sandyford calendar as SAGE (Sandyford and Goldenhill Residents Assoication) are staging a community fun day at Goldenhill Community centre.
Available at Goldenhill Community Centre
If you would like a tabletop stall on the day then contact Lynn on tel no 078345 46971 after 6.00 p.m. Please note a £5.00 pitch fee must be paid when booking the stall prior to the event. Stalls are avaliable to people and chariities.
