Help Nick Clegg run the country via website Your Freedom

I've had an email urging me to promote the government's new website where people can tell the government how to run the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has launched a website, Your Freedom, where ordinary people can suggest how the government can restore liberties that have been lost, comment on which unnecessary laws should be repealed, and suggest regulations on businesses that should be stripped away.

Mr Clegg describes it as "your chance to have your say". He wants to know how you want the government to balance the rights of the citizen with the laws of the state. Make your views count!

You can submit ideas on the website and once your idea is up, other users of the site will be able to comment on it and to rate their favourite ideas. The government departments involved will respond to the most popular workable ideas.

So after urging us in the last election to vote for them as the Tories and Lib Dems said they knew what they were doing, and now want our ideas. To be fair though, it's a good idea, I'll be urging the government to cut a lot of the Police Red Tape and allow them to get on with and stop tying resources up.

It's worth a try, not every prompt will get a response, but it will allow the government to govern and spin by using popular trends.
