Thank you to everyone who has helped. We can't believe it but AIDEN'S BIKE WAS RETURNED LAST NIGHT(Sunday 15/08/10). Someone had seen the poster we put up in the Mace Shop (by McDonalds) and he phoned to say that his son had bought a bike from someone matching the description of Aiden's bike. He was very concerned about Aiden and asked if he had been hurt, he met us on the roundabout and the bike was handed back to Aiden. It just goes to show that there are some decent people around. It feels like Christmas all over again in our house as Aiden is that happy!
Thanks again for all your support,
Jane

That's fantastic news, I'm really pleased for the lot of you.
It still seems hard to believe it's turned out this way, as you say, it's good to see there are some decent people around.
I suspect (reading between the lines) that even though the law of the land might never solve this case, that a punishment will be handed out. Good on the Dad anyway.
I just Hope Aiden can feel like he can enjoy his bike around the park.
It's our job as Bankeyfield parents and residents to make sure that happens.
Glad to hear that Aiden got
Glad to hear that Aiden got his bike back, I was impressed to read that although the boy said he had bought the bike from someone that his dad did the right thing in contacting you after seeing the notice in McDonalds.
Great news it was refreshing
Great news it was refreshing to read a comment with a happy ending. I hope that Aiden can enjoy the rest of the school holidays playing with his mates on their bikes. It just goes to show that with the help of a few posters, word of mouth and the use of a website like mytunstall.co.uk we can make a difference and achieve good things.
