After the reports of the of the park today, I took the kids up and was absolutley disgusted with the glass that had been shattered.

We aren't talking a couple of big shards, there were hundreds of tiny shards scattered over 1/3 of the toddlers play area.

After an hour of brushing and picking both myself and Rachel think we have gotten all of the glass.

A couple with a little boy were clearly disgusted at the state of the glass and were appreciaitive of our efforts.

Whilst another couple who were over seeing their children, from the comfort of a bench supping on two cans of supa' extra cheapo larger, were talking about us. When I politely asked them "you what!", the bloke plucked up "is it glass?"

So, for a short time, the todler area is virtually clear of glass, although I'd still be cautious if your little ones are playing in there.

Thanks to Rich and Rach for their help, and to the kids for their constant theres a bit, theres a bit, theres a bit......

I felt a lot happier once it

I felt a lot happier once it was done, and our little girl who is 1 could then play safely.

All it takes is a brush and shovel and a good set of eyes, I can't tell you how many pieces of glass Rach missed Wink

No seriously, you do need a few people to do this as it takes a while to find every last shard of glass.

I see it as something I had to do so mine and other children don't get harmed, but also an act of solidarity to any one watching who thought we were going to give up that it's just not going to happen..
