How do you Identify a House being used as a Potential Cannabis farm ?
Longton South, a superb hyperlocal (a site about a particular local area - engaging the community to participate - like My Tunstall) has complied a list of what to look out for if you have suspicions about a cannabis farming
Following a conversation with Staffordshire Police how as residents we can identify the signs of these Cannabis farms in our own communities, this is the advice of Staffordshire Police :-
Windows permanently covered from the inside
Visits to the premises at unusual times of the day or night
People visiting just to “maintain” the house
Daily or weekly calls at the house by people who stay for a short time
Black bin bags or laundry bags being taken away
Compost bags or gardening equipment left outside, usually at the rear of the premises
Vents protruding through the roof or a rear window
Strange, pungent smells from the premises
Unusual noises from equipment such as cooling fans
Anyone with information about the supply of drugs is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 4455 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

cannot remember where i read
cannot remember where i read this bit of information from but its a winter /snow thing.
it could have been some story in newspapers last year.
if a house is been used for growing cannabis then the house will be loads warmer than other houses in the street/area - thus when it snows the roof will not have the same covering as the other houses , as the extra heat from the house will have melted it.
(yes it could also mean you havent got roof insulation too)
