Detectives in Stoke-on-Trent are growing concerned for the welfare of a missing 14-year-old girl and are urging anyone who knows her to get in touch.

Hollie Smith was reported missing after leaving her home in Burslem at around lunchtime on Saturday 7 August. Police have been conducting investigations over the last few days which have included a sighting of Hollie on Sunday evening when she briefly returned home.

Hollie is described as a white 14-year-old girl, about 5ft 6 tall with shoulder length straight light brown hair. She was last seen wearing black tracksuit bottoms, checked grey, skinny blue jeans and white jacket and a grey jumper.

Detective Inspector Rob Thompson from Stoke-on-Trent CID said "We are getting very concerned about Hollie, we are speaking to her friends who might know were she is. Hollie is very young to be missing for so long we know people may be helping her but don’t perhaps realise we are looking for her.

We have been and will continue to visit locations where we know Hollie has previously visited, and City Council (CCTV) closed circuit television operators are also helping in the search."

Anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 4455.
