We have been successful in getting an anti-social behaviour order for one of our local youths. It's not a process that's taken lightly, and it involves rigorous research and consultation before we approach the courts. Due to this lads behaviour, an ASBO was granted.

It's fair to say, that within a day or two, he was breaching his ASBO conditions, and was re-arrested. This resulted in the Courts remanding him in custody, which is where he is now.

This was down to good Police work, but as always, would not have been possible without the help of residents in our area, so a big thank you, and please keep up the good work.
Regards, and hope to see you all soon.

It can't be nice putting a kid away, but like you say, it takes a long time to get to this point, so it can't have been from want of trying from those involved in setting this young fellow on the right track.

On a case by case basis I do believe that the parenting skills should also be looked at and brought in front of the courts. There are laws against raising fighting dogs, there should be laws against let your children run in a pack and act like animals.

If more responsibly was put placed on these kids parents to rein them in and become a more effective parent then surely that would cut the ABSO problems more than hours and hours of police work.
