Yesterday saw the Potteries Museums 70th anniversary tribute to the people and air crews who lived through and thought the Battle of Britain.

Museum staff, along with a group of actors transformed the foyer of the museum into a fun packed event featuring 1940's singing, dancing, a speech by Winston Churchill (actor) and much much more.

Activities for children allowing them to colour and create paper Spitfire air planes, keeping them busy until the delayed Dakota plane travelling from Netherlands arrived at about 4:15pm.

The bomber flew five fly bys of Stoke-on-Trent (Hanley) City Center, flying over the museum.

A wonderful and fitting tribute, well done to all of the Museum Staff
