How to do a google search about Tunstall, without KT Tunstall Showing up
One of my frustrations with the town of Tunstall, doesn't have anything to do with Tunstall, but
KT Tunstall, who always appears in my search results.
For those of you joining us from the KT Tunstall Forum or facebook page, this isn't an attack on KT, Tunstall is a town in Stoke-on-Trent, so it's a tutorial about using Google.
I try to search for a local fact, and what shows up? Tunstall? Nope KT "Bloody" Tunstall.
Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against KT Tunstall, she a good signer/song writer, it's just she gets in the way of my Googling.
So, how do you search for the word Tunstall without the KT?
Simples, the trick is in using Google's advanced search features.
1. Type the word you are searching for: Tunstall
2. using the minus symbol type the name of the content you don't want to appear, and wrap it in single quotes: 'kt tunstall'
Which gives you this search term: tunstall -'kt tunstall'
Easy, hassle and KT Tunstall free searching.
Feel free to experiment by trying searches such as tunstall -'KT'
If in doubt, press the advanced search link next to your search box.
