We could do with arranging one for Bankeyfields Open Space, there is rubbish in all of the nooks and crannies.
We did one last year, but could really do with one again.
Hey up Web Monkey I agree
Hey up Web Monkey I agree with you that the open-space could do with a litter pick like the one we did last year. However I think that if we were to do this on a regular basis the council should get on board and offer incentives to Resident Associations that take on and arrange such a scheme. I am sure that the council must have access to an array of freebies that they could give away to encourage local communities to clean up such areas as the open-space. Perhaps they could install a notice board on the open-space like the one outside Summer Bank School, enabling us to put out information to residents that may not use the website. They could even give us access to free bedding plants throughout the summer to tart up the area a bit, we could even take control of the mini roundabout and have it looking nice with a few flowers and plants throughout the summer rather than the eyesore that it now is, as it is the first thing that you see coming on to the estate.
