At about miday a fatal collision involving a Lorry and and a car on the M6 (J17) has led to an afternoon of traffic grid lock along the A500 corridor.

Parents have reported 3/4 hour journeys from Wolstanton Asda to Goldenhill, 30 drive time from Tunstall to Golden.

Reginald Mitchell Way, part of the Tunstall Bypass is experiencing heavy traffic as cars and a large number of lorries make their way towards Kidsgrove, and presumably holmes chaple, or congleton.

The Sandyford Firestation lane altering scheme which has seen both side of Reginald Mitchell way down to one lane, is also compounding the situation.

It looks like no matter route you are going to take things are looking slow.

Hopefully with the help of this site, twitter and the radio those working or trying to get children home from school can pick the best routes to travel.
