while in stoke afew months
while in stoke afew months ago now, the aroma of the oatcake coming from the shop was to much for me to walk past.
i asked the man cooking them if i could have the oatcakes straight fom the grill/pan. he said that he wouldnt be able to sell them like that because of health and safety, "you will burn yourself"
i was gutted. as theres nothing better than a freshy cooked plain oatcake .
he could warm one up for me that was freshy cooked and cooled down,
but having them like that isnt the same as straight of the pan. so i left without any oatcakes feeling bewildered.
