Dear Fellow Resident,

As we get ever closer to the day that Britain will have its say
on thirteen years of Labour, I am keen to make sure that the
people of Stoke North understand the steps a Conservati ve
Government will take to get our country and this region back
on track.

These steps include :

• Restoring the link bet ween the basic state pension and
earnings;
• Free long term residential care for every pensioner who buys an £8000 insurance
policy—so pensioners don’t have to sell their homes;
• New laws that will gi ve householders more rights against burglars;
• We would cut net immi gration from the current hundreds of thousands to tens of
thousands.
• More funding for the NHS;
• Headteachers to be put in charge of school discipline;
• 400,000 apprenticeships, college and t raining places;
• Guaranteed continuation of the mini mum wage and child benefit;
• A cut in stamp duty for first time buyers;
• A recognition of marri age in the tax s ystem;
• Enable a two year freeze in council tax;
• A high speed rail network that will connect north and south and boost the UK economy;
• A cut in the cost of politics including a 10% cut in the number of MPs and a 5% cut in
ministers pay; and
• Keeping Free Bus Passes, Free TV licences and the Winter Fuel Allowance.

Regards
Andy Large
Conservative Parliamentary Candidate
for Stoke on Trent North
