Bankeyfields estate - is the land about to be adopted by the council?

mess

I've just had a conversation with Sharky, who spotted an official looking gentleman taking photos of the John Rhodes Way mini roundabout between both estates.

Sharky mentioned that the roundabout was a mess in passing and the man proceeded to tell him he was from the Council adoption group and the estate was under review for adoption.

According to Sharky once the roundabout was weeded (feel free to help) the process will be fairly swift.

Apparently we'll be hearing more shortly from the council.

I see this subject is close to everyones heart

OK, good response on this one. No adoption by the council of the estate means the council and other authorities can turn around and tell us naff off.

See if that gets a response.

Who maintains the estate if

Who maintains the estate if the council wont adopt it then?

Think of it as semi adopted

We do get council services, and there is a maintenance contract to maintain the open space area.

Have a read through the old neighbourhood watches newsletters, as I think some of them cover these issues.

However if Sharky is right, this won't be a problem for much longer.
