Stoke-on-Call 01782 234234 Stoke-on-Trent councils hot line
After finding one of the dog pooh bins had been emptied onto the pathway this weekend, I tried to get in touch with Stoke-on-Trent councils switch board, Stoke-on-Call 01782 234 234, to let them know, and also to ask if they could send a rapid response team down.
I had 2 reasons for this - firstly , it's not very healthy for children and adults a like, and secondly because the police and council were staging their respect day.
However, when I got through to the number (about 3:30 or something like that on Saturday afternoon ) I got a long voice message telling me that working hours for Saturday were 9 till 1 ... blah blah blah.
I tried twice, but got the same message, so I got home and wrote an email, to PC Talbot, as he'd got in touch with the rapid response team when the poo bags were slung around the play area.
Here's the bit of advice then.... After seeing PC Talbot this weekend at the fun day, he told me he managed to get through using 234 234, and had the council come along and cleared up the dog dirt cleared (much appreciated).
All you have to do is sit out the long voice message and you'll be patched through to an operator.
I think really it should say that at the beginning, but don't like me let this put you off, you just have to be patient.
