Bankeyfields - Crime Alert: Attempted theft of handbag from car

A handbag was stolen on Monday from an insecure vehicle left in William Coltman Way. An attempt to steal the vehicle failed.

Residents of the Bankeyfields estate are asked to be on their guard against opportunistic thefts.

We have no other information other than the first line above, so if anyone can provide more info about when, was the theif spotted, and is their a description of the person, so we can keep an eye out - would be greatly appreciated.
