Agenda - draft

  • Open Space - To work on ways to tackle the anti-social behaviour,
and vandalism occurring on the open space
    and especially the park.
  • Road Adoption - No one has yet to take responsibility of our roads
    yet.
  • Reginald Mitchell Way/Roundabout - To try and get the council to
listen to our concerns in regards the dangers of pulling off and onto the
    estate.
  • It's your Neighbourhood Watch - Because we have this website, we
can deliver in real time, or within a day or too, all information
presented to us (except for this posting as it's taken nearly a month -
blimming Christmas). Agendas, minutes, meeting dates, alerts, things
to discuss will all be posted onto the site. That way the NHW isn't just a
small body of people, it's everyone on the estate helping to make life
better or easier. This way the Bankeyfields Neighbourhood Watch group can
    be as transparent as possible.
  • Regular News Alerts - as we create
more relationships we the NHW team will be posting News Alerts
onto the site, as and when they come in. This doesn't stop everyone from
posting, though as we aren't omni present. We need everyone to do their
    bit.
  • Build on the partnerships with Glynn Talbot (PC), Richard Farrier
(PSCO), Joan Walley (MP), SFRS (Staffordshire Fire and
Rescue Service - they'll be our new next door neighbours in a year or
    two).
  • Raise awareness of the NHW and the Bankeyfields Website. This site
is a valuable resource that all members of the estate are
welcome to post on. It's primary goal is to build a community of people,
who don't want to just flag problems but want to get to know
their neighbours and feel apart of something. As part of this
awareness we'll be starting up a new Newsletter service, that will get
posted every now and then, in the attempt that we can a) inform and Cool get
people on this site and help with tasks at hand and to make those
important decisions that affect all of you.

Thanks to everyone who attened the meeting last night

I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended the meeting last night.

I know some people were forced to abandon their plans to turn up due to the weather and work commitments, so we'll be getting a full low down up on the site shortly, from Jo [Username: simpsons].

I was happily surprised though, at the number of people that did turn up, and we discussed a whole variety of problems that we are facing.

Also, I've got some freebies to give away, donated by Tunstall Police, but more about that later.
