Battlefield back on the PC, along with it's xbox360 and ps3 cousins.
I've been a massive fan of the Battlefield series which started out with Battlefield 1942, it's add on packs, then the massive Battlefield Vietnam, through to the awesome Battlefield 2, and the thing that really made it for me, the Battlefield 2 Spec Ops Add on pack. See player history
Then came Battlefield 2142, which was good, but not as good. At the same time Call of Duty 4 came out, and my game of choice shifted from a massive playing field with drivable Trucks, Tanks, Helicopters, Jet Plains, Boats, to run around shooting.
Then what came next was a slap in the face to all PC Gamers. EA forgot to release any more Battlefield games for the PC, whilst supporting only XBOX 360 and PS3.
We did get the much delayed and free Battlefield Heroes (download and try it, considering it cost nowt, it's a damn good game).
The new game is just around the corner (March), and it's looking very very good.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will deliver destruction, vehicular warfare, squad play and open world environments in a modern warfare action game.
Basically when the game starts up, you find or create a squad and if you want to follow your squad into battle. You can always lone wolf it and snipe from afar, or cause your own mayhem. But the really gem of this game of old, was battling as a team, and taking the enemies flags.
See you on the field.
