Bin day - everything but brown
Just a quick reminder for anyone who hasn't got their green box or blue bin out, there is a service tomorrow to empty gray, blue and green.

I didn't even know it was monday until Ju told me to put the all but the brown out.
We went safe
We were not sure if you were correct so put all the bins out. I have to put my hands up to Ju, they did empty all the bins with the exception of the brown bin.
Blue, Brown, Green Box - Mon 11th Jan 2010
All being well, our the bins that will be collected are the Blue and Brown bins, and the green box. Theres also some sort of charity bag to go out I've been told.
Grey ones?
Our grey ones didn't get done last week, so hopefully they may come back for them tomorrow.
My recycling ones don't need emptying yet, so I won't put them out.
No
Just spoken to the council, they won't be taking the Grey Bins that they missed last week, this week. They'll be back next Monday as usual for Grey ones, but will take any extra bags with them.
No bin collections
Looks like we are not the only ones miffed with the council. See link to Sentinel

The bin men seemed to manage
The bin men seemed to manage pretty well collecting all the recycling bins today - shame I forgot to put mine out! Well, we went to the tip on Saturday with a couple of bin bags full, don't like the idea of keeping them outside for that lovely little fox to find!
The UPS delivery man seemed to be having no problems either
The UPS delivery man
seemed to be having no problems either, as he sped down John Rhodes Way, swerving around Ashes van through the slush.
Driving way to fast for the road and the conditions.
Foxy
When we first moved on to the estate (10 years ago) there used to be a little 3 legged fox that frequently used to be in the bin bags (yes in the days before the wheely bins), could this possibly be the same one you are on about, have you seen it, and does it have 3 or 4 legs?
Would be interested to know, just incase "hoppy" as we called him is still around.
Many thanks
Hoppy
Hi Rach, I last saw the 3 legged fox in August, I am informed that foxes do not hibernate, but yhe gestation period is over the winter months, so hopefully you should see hoppy around April time.
Blue Bins ?
Has any one had their blue bin emptied as they all seem to be left out tonight, just thought it was mine that the recycling engineers had taken an aversion to.
Done
I heard them being emptied about 7.50 yesterday morning.
Not ours
The blue bins have not been emptied on mustang and I noticed quite a few still out on the Swallows side last night so assumed they had not been emptied either
Struggled
The wagon did struggle on Hurricane, they had to grit the road
well, a bit of it
I'm not sure which one it was though, as I didn't actually see it. Did definitely hear bottles breaking as they went from the blue bins into a wagon earlier in the morning though.
The bins still being out on swallows side may just be that people hadn't yet taken them back in
Waste removal
I fully understand that the severe weather has interupted waste collection, we have not had our bins emptied on the last two collections, however trade waste has been removed, I live less than 20 yards to a bussiness that has had its waste removed, I would willingly walk the distance to have my bin emptied, I wish my employer was as sympathetic as the council, with living in a side street, our roads have not been gritted, but I still have to go to work, and at times of day when there does not seem any gritting carried out. When will people, society realise that not all people work 9 to 5.
