Bogus Policeman in Stoke-on-Trent: Neighbourhood Watch Owl Alert

The purse and cash contents of an elderly lady were stolen from her home in Longton, yesterday afternoon at about 3pm.

A man tricked his way into the victim's home by claiming to be from the police. He used her name and showed some sort of a badge. His supposed reason for the visit was security. He went from room to room putting a device into the plugs before leaving with her purse.

He is described as: in his 50's; short dark hair thinning on top; had a beer belly; He was wearing a dark, leather jacket and white shirt. He had no discernable accent.
