car park on waste ground in Goldenhill

I have been reading in the Sentinal about people wanting the council to put a car park on the waste ground just below the Co op in Goldenhill to stop some people from parking at the side of the road by the Co op.
First of all we all know why these people park there because they are to lazy to park up in the right place in the first place.
Having said that can you really see the same LAZY people using that if it was turnd in to a car park. May I point out that there is a car park at the side of the Co op not a very good one in fact a very bad one but should we not be pushing for that to be opened up and made use of.
Getting back to people parking at the side of the road they do not just park there they drive on to the pavement made easy by a dropped pavement back in front of the Oakcake shop which in it self is very dangerous. But when Police told know one is bothered I myself was coming out of the papershop and very nearly got hit by a van doing just that when you say something to these people you just get a mouth full.
Maybe there should be changes made like raising the pavement back to its normal hight placing bollards there, but I suppose someone needs to get hurt before that happens.
