Crash caused by black ice on John Rhodes Way, Tunstall (+ pictures).
At approximately 10am this morning a car traveling down John Rhodes Way hit a patch of black ice whilst trying to navigate around parked cars, and skidded out of control into a parked van.
Both car and van suffered considerable damage but luckily the driver was ok, although heavily shaken from the experience. If you click on the attached thumbnails below you'll see a bigger image of the damage to her car.
Firstly the driver was well aware of the ice, and said she was driving with extreme care, but just hit a patch of ice whilst trying to navigate between cars parked on both sides of the road. The road in question is located on a hill, which added extra inertia to the moving car. So in my eyes this isn't a case of carelessness but just an accident caused by natural causes.
When I phoned the council the uninterested helpline assistant said that there was no way a gritter could be diverted onto the estate today or the grit bins being filled, but wouldn't confirm if they will be filled this week or the roads gritted as they are running on a skeleton staff.
So for anyone who have phoned up so far and been told they'll come and fill the bins that day have been lied to. From the delay I can now only guess there are no plans what so ever to fill our grit bins by the council and the only way we are going to be able to get our roads gritted is by clubbing together and buying our own grit, AND getting a team of people to grit the worst parts of the estate. But as we've seen in the past, people on the Bankeyfields estate aren't really into community spirit (re: community meetings, community litter picks etc.), so I can't see this happening either.
If any one wants to prove me wrong, start a new post or use the comments below to start something.
The only other thing we can do is phone a request through to the council help line (see the number at the very bottom of this page (in footer)) and also go onto the council website and find the complaints section where you can fill in a web based form and lodge a complaint about the lack of grit in the bins and occasional gritter.
Lastly, at the past few community meetings, Megan Ryan (Tunstall Councillor) has said an extra two grit bins could be made available for both estates (Heritage and Swallows Rise). But as always we need people from all parts of the estate to come to these meetings so things like this can be discussed properly. So if any one fancies taking more of an interest in their local neighborhood then these meetings need a wider range of people attending and putting forward their interests.
If it was me having a say on where they should go then it would be at the top of John Rhodes Way Straight and also on the steep part of Spitfire Way on the bend.

Puchased Grit
On our road (Mustang Cl ) we have had to purchase our own grit. If it is not done it is very dangerous. Most residents opt to leave there cars at the bottom on Spitfire Way. But this cause, s additional problems.
Unhelpful Council Receptionists
I know when I called the council last week I too got the impression that they wouldn't be coming out to grit or refil the grit boxes even though they said they would be out that afternoon!
The side of John Rhodes Way by the park also suffers from cars parking on the road, sometimes double parked and even more irritating is when they have driveways but still insist on parking on the road which given the current ice rinks only adds to more cayous.
Even when you travel at a reasonable speed either on or off the estate(s) you still get some who insist on coming on / off at 20+ mph as I witnessed one morning last week.
Having purchased yet more grit again today in readiness for this week's ice and snow, our idea is that anyone who has recently purchased grit should copy the receipts and forward to the council for them to refund us back as we have paid out of our own pocket for something that should be covered by our council tax.
Hope that the ice / snow that is forecast for this week doesn't cause to much hassle for the sensible residents on the estate(s) but I am sure the road / double parkers will continue if not get worse during the next couple of days.
Always ask for their name
Rach when you talk to any one on the phone always ask for their name. Firstly you have a refererence if you have to call back and secondly people always respond better if you address them with thier name. Well usually but our city council !!!!!!
Residents Gritting
I would have no problem in gritting the road around my property. However, as we are not getting even a minimum service from the council then we should surely get some kind of monetary compensation, such as all council tax banding on the estates one band lower!! Councils need to understand that if you want to lower services then council tax should also be lowered at the same time.
The councillors who say they are working with us on this matter are just humouring us and saying what they believe we want to hear. I would seriously ask them for evidence that they have spoken to the gritting team, copies of emails, letters etc....
Gritting
Richard i would like to assure you that in my experience our Cllr Megan Ryan who attends all our NHW meetings would have as promised have been in touch with the relevant departments regarding the filling of our grit bins, in fact it was Megan who pushed for us to have 2 more bins on the estates.
Megan works very hard for us in quite a few areas that most residents do not know. She was instrumental in having the roundabout tidied and replanted for one example.
It is the relevant council department who have not followed through with their promise to provide us with bins and subsequently the filling of the existing bins.
Last year we in Mustang were out helping each other get up the incline and we gritted all down Mustang and parts of Spitfire down to the roundabout, the grit was from the bins.
Gordy
Consideration for Others
With regard to gritting on the estate I think you will get better odds on winning the lotto than the council coming on to the estate with a grit wagon or even having the bins refilled especially this year as we are constantly reminded we are in a recession, giving the council a perfect excuse not to do anything. I think we should be grateful that they are gritting all the major roads and hospital routes within the city. My only advice would be while it is still possible nip out to Focus purchase a couple of bags of grit or even cheaper nip to Asda and get a couple of bags of table salt 98p. With regard to people who own more than one car and feel the need to park in the street have a little consideration for other car users who have to negotiate these obstacle when leaving the estate and does this affect your insurance when you have stated that your car is parked in your driveway overnight when really it spends the majority of the time causing an obstruction for other car user’s.
Everyones Insurance
Hiya Bryn, hope you've had a good Christmas. It's going to be all of our Insurances going up when the Insurance Companies learn that certain councils have stopped gritting more roads in the area. Even more so when they run a simple computer program that profiles how many ice/snow related accidents there are in an area.
Councillors
Surely a councillor should have the ability to get things they request done. If people within the departments in question do not do as requested then surely the councillors should do what most private organisations would do, written warnings etc.... There appears to be too many people within council departments who have a job for life, this causing the we do as we want attitude.
If a Managing Director within a private company were to ask that the grit bins were filled I am sure it would be done. If it were not then I am sure that person would see to it that the person in question would have to give a good reason why they had not done so!
I do not see the difference between a Managing Director and a Councillor, they are both supposed to be in charge are they not, if not why do we have elections? An answer to this question from the aforementioned councillor would be appreciated.
With regard to the recession, I do not know about any other people here but my council tax has not reduced since the recession started. Therefore the level of service should not have reduced.
According to Pits N Pots the Officers are in charge.
Hiya Rich, having been following Pits N Pots over the past year it's obvious to me that the council officers are running the show, and like us the councillors can only ask and wait. The only difference is they're elected by 45% of the local population, and we are individual smucks who they think they can thob off..
However, if anyone wants to go straight to the head man in charge of the gritting, the council published his number in an article about the new high tech gritters they bought recently (which is why they can only afford so much grit now I guess) http://www.stoke.gov.uk/text/ccm/content/cc/news_releases/2009-press-rel...
The difference
No Richard a councillor is not like a managing director. I would say that they are more akin to members of the board. They can put in requests and priorities but it does not mean that they always get thier way.
I invite you to our meetings it is the way we get things done. Councillor Megan Ryan attends the vast majority of them and is very pro active with regards to issues on the estate so please do not knock her.
Griiting Tender
Just a thought. If we as a group put in a tender for gritting our estates to the city council for a ridiculous amount of money , say £1.3 million. Surely with the current diobolical standards and inefficiencies in their procedures they are bound to accept. They will obviously not notice that they still have not adopted the estates yet because most of the council departments do not know where Bankeyfields is. In fact the only thing that the majority of the council officials can do quickly and efficiently is fill in their expence claims.
BBC Radio Stoke want to interview residents about the problem...
BBC Radio Stoke want to interview residents about the problem of not having our estate gritted, or the lack of grit for the grit bins.
If you want to take part please contact Dan Tierney on (01782) 221266.
Dan wants to hear about what people have experienced and also what people have been doing to help themselves.
Matt
Helping ouselves
Well Matt the positive things that we have been doing is purchasing grit and spreading it on our roads.
The negative things i;e getting no result , e mailing the council, phoning the council and paying over the top council tax for a very sub standard service.
I think we are all aware that it would be a very tall order indeed for the council to grit every street on every estate in the city. However if they can not fill the grit boxes that they themselves place around the city so that residents can use ,then they are failing to reach even the minimum standards that we should expect.
What council band are you all in?
I'm not sure myself what our house/area is, but I know we pay a lot, and it's going to go up next year to pay for the deficit in stoke's budget, but for reduced services.
Band D
I am in band D , three bed house does it make a difference if you have more bed rooms. Just to bore you the original council tax was levied on the amount of windows you had.
Radio Stoke
Do you happen to know what time Radio Stoke doing the interviews, as this could be worth listening to whilst at work this week (assuming the weather doesn't prevent us getting off the estate)?
Radio interviews
Hiya Rach, they'll come out to you or your hubby if you want to have your say about the situation. The more people that can get in touch with Dan on the number above the better.
The last time we used the media to highlight something it raised a lot of attention. Hopefully no one will need to hide in any bushes, just do a few sound bytes.
Radio Stoke Monday
Rach, I have spoken to Dan at Radio Stoke today and he has told me that they will be around some time on Monday but can not as yet give a firm time. If you ring him on the number on WM post you can arrange for a time to do an interview if you wish.
Banding
The banding is set by a valuation set by a council valuer. Approximately 2 years ago the council wanted to reband all properties. However, they did not want to change the values for the banding, meaning that we would be at a minimum of a band F, even a 2 bed terraced would be a C. Obviously the council were not looking at getting more monies!!!!!!
Unelected council officials - Repeat from Grit Bins Topic
I hate to keep on about these things but, I have always been told that the elected officials are there to make sure that the unelected officials do the jobs that the voters require. If this is not the case and the unelected officials are telling the elected officials what they will and will not do then why are we electing them in the first place. This debate appears to be highlighting extremely large problems within the council departments, when are we going to hear from this elected official that all who attend the meeting speak so highly of. I hate to be so cynical; however, if this is how Stoke-on-Trent City Council is run I am not surprised that the City is in such a state. I think it is about time that employees of the council learned that they are employed to work for the people of the City, after all we do pay their wages.
Again I invite you
Richard again I invite you to the meetings . You can have your say or are you just a key board warrior ?.
Meetings
Steve,
I will look at attending the next meeting. However, as you may have noticed, I do not tolerate excusses from people within local goverment. The "board", I will stand corrected for my earlier discussion point, are in charge and should rule the council departments. It would appear that the departments are ruling the board within our city council.
Where are these meetings
Just a couple of questions;
Provisionally 18th or 25th January for the next meeting
Hi Rich
We've still not fully got a date, but it's possibly going to be 18th or 25th January, still waiting on Steve H to confirm.
Popeye has the minutes on his laptop, I'll drop him a reminder.
The Cricket Club - go up Reginald Mitchell Way, turn left at the roundabout. Turn right (shelford Road) at the turning between McDonalds and the General Stores (used to be called the Spar Shop, the the Sentinel Shop - will be something else next week). Go straight down to the end of that road, and you'll come to a set of gates.
The person involved in the accident
After searching the internet I found a web-site with a question "Can I sue the council for not gritting" this was one of the answers.
The question was asked "can I sue the council" the answer is yes you can if you can prove negligence. eg if after being advised that a particular area away from the normal inspection area is dangerous & fail to take steps to rectify it they may be considered negligent.
I believe many people from the estate have contacted the council with regard to the condition of the roads. Therefore, you may be able to sue the council for the accident. If everyone who has an accident does this the £100,000 saving may turn out to be a saving too far as the cost of the claims could be far greater.
Bankrupt for sure
The council had better hope none of the many people involved in collisions yesterday start proceedings.
"CALLS to emergency services are up after an increase in falls and car crashes due to the icy weather.
West Midlands Ambulance Service says calls yesterday were up about 17 per cent compared to this time last year.
The amount adds up to about 300 extra calls from people tumbling on slippy patches or having minor car crashes. The total number of calls was 1,765."
"We pay our licence fees and council tax. If we have a bump it takes us off the road and that affects our livelihood. We expect the roads to be clear and safe."
Extract from This is Staffordshire

Wages
Perhaps all the claims should be taken from the wages of the person who had the idea to save the money.
Cost cutting
As I said in a reply to Joan Walley earlier today, I understand theres a recession on, and I understand that the council is financially in the shiP (yeah I know), but I think the risks that are being taken with peoples lives is too great.
Apparently all grit bins in Stoke have been filled!
Mike Rawlings from Pits and pots suggests that as Stoke Gov have said they've filled all grit bins that it's worth doing a FOI request to find out when our bins were filled.
I'll take a look into this tomorrow. Night all.
They may have done the ones in Stoke
Matt, re comment, all the grit bins in Stoke have been filled - that's fine, but don't forget we live in Tunstall, not Stoke. Just a small dinstinction, but may be one way for them to tell the truth, without actually doing anything anywhere other than where it serves the council officers themselves. As the council offices are in Stoke (upon Trent) they probably have done the bins there, just to make sure they can all get home.
Stoke
I was going to redit that to be stoke-on-trent and deny all knowledge but then my good side took over and I'll admit to my mistake.
100% of Stoke-on-Trent's bins
Radio Stoke
Have they filled the bins ready for Radio Stoke to look in them????
fix my street
Anyone making a claim should be able to use evidence that the council were notified of problem well in advance as shown on fixmystreet.com

Grit Bins - Oh No they're not
On my way out to work at 7.30am this morning I did a visit to the grit bins and unless people went out after your comment last night, or saw them being filled up whenever during the day, they were all completely empty!
Gritting of Estates etc
I used to live on an estate a few years back, and I was always told by the Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, that there is a priority list of gritting.......... ie: Bus Routes come first, then A Roads, then B Roads, then others. I don't think that has changed.
I found this in the Sentinel, it makes interesting reading:
http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/news/quarters-City-roads-ungritted/...
You could always make a report on line at http://www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk/transport_content.asp?id=SXB4DB-A7809... and if all of you do it then they will know that you are all serious about it.
Although the link I have given is via NULBC I am sure it will take you to the Staffordshire area which will also cover S-O-T.
Good Luck.

Councillors - Are they working for us!!!!
Still we have no comment from any officials with regard to any of the issues mentioned within this forum topic.
It will be interesting to know what they are going to do about this issue when they return to work, are they going to look after their constituents or the people who appear to refuse to do their job. Perhaps we can have a breakdown of the council tax and not pay the portion which is allotted to Gritting of the roads. Surely we should only have to pay for services which we do not receive.
Many thanks
I think we all need to give Councillor Lee Wanger a thank you for providing us with some grit in the grit boxes. I may be a appear to many to be a cynical person. However, I do give praise when praise is due.
Anyway after all my ranting and raving I have had a thought, dangerous you may say, well here it is. Is there any way in which the council can give the estate a pass to allow us to collect grit from the main depot for the grit boxes on the estates ourselves. Given that after this grit is used we will, at best, have to wait until 4th January for any more. This will obviously not help at the moment but may help next year.
Grit bin update - Lee Wanger has fetched some grit from the depo
Grit bin update - Lee Wanger has fetched some grit from the depot.
Cllr Wanger has been and fetched some grit for our grit bins. It's not a massive amount as he's no spring chicken, but it might be enough to see us through the next frost between now and the 4th January when the maintenance department whose job it is to fill the bins return from holiday.
Cllr Megan Ryan has been away for the past few days and was angered to read on the site what had gone on and not been done by the maintenance department. After a quick phone call to the Bob Brock (manager of highways) this morning, who is on leave, and being told that higways dept are all on leave and no bins would be filled untill after the 4th January I contacted Cllr Lee Wanger, and have done a rece of your bins.
So thanks very much to the pair of you Lee and Megan for pulling out the stops, and as Megan said on the phone heads will roll.
Tyres in the road !!!
About nine pm I removed 2 tyres from Spitfire Way adjacent to the mini roundabout. I have put them out of harms way in the bushes at the side of the road.
I wish I could lose my spare tire that easily.
I wish I could lose my spare tire that easily.
Spare ???
WM In english it is tyre , not tire which is to become sleepy. Please do not help your off spring with their home work or they will never get out of detention.
Glass houses
People in glass house should not throw stones.
Besides I blame Google's phone operating system.
As you type it tries and predicts the best word; tyre became tire......
Honest......
Re Tyres
Unfortunately, there is a lot of legislation regarding how tyres are disposed of, so this is how a lot of people dispose of them, dumping away from their homes. Hopefully the area around the mini roundabout won't become a fly-tipping site, but we may have to keep an eye on it, as once it starts.
Great news about the grit bins though, a big thanks to Lee Wanger
Other Grit Bins
Went to visit my mother in baddeley green today. I checked the grit bins close to her property and they were empty.
More Icy problems
Well, it would appear the council have excelled thamselves today. I know it came down heavily and suddenly, but the chaos created by a bit of snow on Reg Mitchell Way was unbelievable. I left the estate about lunchtime to go and do some shopping. There was a bit of frost about, but it was quite nice out, just cold. Went into Tesco Longton, did the shopping, came out and it was snowing, BIG snowflakes. Came home, I'd say quickly, but cars were doing about 40mph and under on the D-road this side of Stoke. This side of Asda there seemed to be a lot of snow about - totally different place to that I'd left earlier.
Pulled off the D-road, round the big bend, and stopped. From that first roundabout I didn't make it out of 1st gear. There appeared to be no grit on Reginald Mitchell Way (But I didn't have a problem with getting cut up on a roundabout) cars were barely moving and it was a nightmare. It's not good to stop on a hill in those conditions, but everyone was stopping and starting all the way up.
Congrats to all those who got back onto the estate ok in those conditions. Apologies to the 2 cars I drove round to get onto the estate, but if I'd have stopped to try to help, I'd never have got going again.
Hopefully someone will grit some of the roads in the near future so at least we can drive safely on the main ones. If we're really lucky, they might even fill the grit bins properly!
How was spitfire way bank?
What was it like coming up spitfire way? Had any one put grit on the lower part of spitfire/mini roundabout from the grit bins?
Mrs WM said the newly shaped roundabout was gritted this morning, but I guess because it was a Saturday, I bet everyone left Hanley/Shops at the same time to avoid the snow.
We try our best
My wife did notice the chap at the bottom John Rhodes way clearing the snow on the speed ramp, I and Web Monkey also cleared the snow at the Tee juction at the top of John Rhodes Way, and put some grit down. We need more people to join in and clear the snow off the road, and grit if possible, outside their homes. It only takes a little effort as many hands make light work of such a task.
I know we have yet again ran out of grit, we need to sort out this problem in the near future. However, we all need to work together to help keep the roads on the estate passible.
John Rhodes Way
The top of John Rhodes Way, and the middle have both been made drivable by the fella on the corner of John Rhodes Way/George Eardly who is doing a super job of gritting and clearing the road. So far this year he's used seven of his own grit bags clearing our roads.
So if we are having a whip round on our side of the estate, I think the proceeds should go to both him and to Rich whose only on five bags.
I think all of the grit bins are empty, so please take care out there tomorrow. You think I need to say this? One car came down John Rhodes today at about 20mph, then looked to be in trouble as they neared the slight bend/speed bump 3/4 of the way down.
Rich did a mighty fine job of clearing the very top of John Rhodes Way (top speed bump) and I want one of those snow spades, where did you get yours from.
Finally, to see the snowman face off between myself and Ken, judge for yourself, heres my kids (ahem) effort.

we try our best continued
Not only did Richard and Web Monkey clear the top of the road they also managed to push a few cars up the hill to the tee junction at the top of the road and I am sure the drivers of these cars are grateful for the help they received.
Best work out this year
Best work out this year, although I did think of sloping off after seeing the people carrier struggling, glad it didn't turn out to be that heavy in the end.
Hands off to the saab owner who made his mrs push him up the bank on her own, until the very top.
Hurricane
I don't know about Spitfire, but Hurricane's lethal. Now I know why I can never get any grit when I go up to Focus if you guys on "The other side"
are buying it in bulk. (I have tried about 4 times) We would gladly grit the road, if we had any. Thanks to the guy on the corner who helped me and my neighbour get her car as far as my drive yesterday evening, have managed to get it across the road to her's this morning, but it took about half an hour and a bag of asda salt as all the footprints and car tracks from yesterday have frozen to solid ice and caused loads of problems.
Kids vs Adults
Why is that when snow arrives the kids all get excited to get out there and play in the white stuff. Meanwhile, the adults get all stressed out and just want to carry on life as normal, and then get even more stressed out when we find out thaqt actually we can't carry on as normal.
Come on we all need to become more like the kids and get out there in the snow.
Opologies in advance for those of you who do essentially need to go out such as Doctors, Nurses etc.... However, thinking about it, how much easier would it be for you to get into work if the rest of us were not on the roads!!!
Not Stressed
I'm not at all stressed out, though I may be tomorrow morning when I need to go to work
Just sitting here, in my warm house, glad that I don't need to go out today
I took some gorgeous piccies yesterday of my garden, it did look beautiful, untouched by human feet (though loads of blackbird footprints everywhere)
I've encouraged the local kids to play on the grassed open space area with their sledges rather than our road, it's got to be safer on there than sledging down from the top of the road and round a 90 degree, blind right hand turn, risking life and limb against any car that tries to come up - tries being the operative word there. And, if I had a sledge, I might be tempted to join them, I haven't been sledging in ages - Mum and Dad gave my sledge away a couple of years ago
To all those out in the snow - ENJOY, (safely)
Party pooper
Sorry Richard I'm going to be a party pooper here
I hate this snow/ice and yes it does stress me out big time.
The road is treacherous again and is highly dangerous and unfortunately its not the case these days where only "essential" workers have to get out and drive in it. To put it bluntly I have to get out to work tomorrow unless I won't get paid and looking at the weather prediction for tonight I'm not too keen on risking it but will have to all the same.
Zoey
I agree
I'm with you on that one for tomorrow, Zoey, while it's all well and good to stay in today and let people enjoy the snow, tomorrow I have to go out. It's not really a case of "wanting" to carry on as normal, I "have" to carry on as normal. I can't just ring up work and say I daren't get off the estate, and work isn't on a bus route, or not one that will get me there from here without about 3 bus changes, and a 2 hour journey, so yes, enjoy today, but tomorrow will be tense, stressed and blue air as I try to negotiate round all those that have abandoned their cars, double parked on the road or just show no consideration for others trying to get somewhere.
Never mind, for today, chill, relax, and enjoy.
Whilst sledging
I will give my opologies to those of you who live on the Barret estate. I took a look at the roads this afternoon whilst sledging ( on the fields, I must add ) they look extremely interesting!!! Our road looks like a dream against yours, well the top and bottom sections anyway.
I do think that the roads would be alot better if we all took a little time to clear the snow from the road and pavement at the front of your own properties. Whatever happened to good old community spirit.
Mustang very bad
Myself , Popeye and our new neighbour shovled and gritted Mustang (PURCASED) not provided by the council.
Oh and the stall holders in Tunstall Sq were telling me that not once has the Sq been gritted this winter they are not happy bunnies.
Great to hear
Steve, Popeye and the new neighbour,
It is great to hear about people all working together.
We just need a few more people like you, we could then play in the snow on the fields and drive safely on the cleared roads.
Article in todays sentinel about our estate
Follow this link to read the article in the sentinel
http://goo.gl/UMfL
"Residents affected by the recent icy weather say their requests for more salt have been given the cold shoulder by council officers.
While they accept council gritting lorries cannot treat every minor road in the city, they believe the authority should be providing them with the means to help themselves.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council says it needs to preserve its dwindling salt supplies so major routes can be kept clear."
That last paragraph above says it all. If they'd stocked the grit bins early enough, they'd have know exactly how much they'd have left over and had plenty of stock. Or if they knew they weren't going to fill them, they could have given us notice that they weren't and we could have outsourced our own.
It's the same farce every year. Having spent all of that money on new gritters, have the roads improved? No. Have more roads been gritted by these wonderful machines that use less grit? No.
Very interesting reading!
Very good story in the Sentinel, what is more fun reading are the comments that people have written back with in response to them, you seem to be having a very vocal afternoon on The Sentinel.
Update from the council
I've just spoken to Megan about the grit bins not being filled. Bob Brock, the fella in charge of the bins has told Megan that the bins were filled on Christmas Eve.
Quite a few of us were doing daily checks, so between them being filled and us lot checking them, some one has supposedly taken the grit (in a van).
Did anyone see the grit bins filled? Did any one see the grit bins emptied?
Council Excuse
Not to moan but is that the council's way of saying that it wasn't their fault.
Considering we saw a car come on the estate the other day look in the grit bin at the bottom of John Rhodes Way and then drive straight off the estate (as it was empty) and up Reginald Mitchell Way anyone could have taken the supposed grit!!!!! Sounds like the council's way of avoiding the blame.
Thats a lot of grit bins around Tunstall that have been emptied
Rach are you saying "Thats a lot of grit bins around Tunstall that have been filled and then emptied, all in the same day." you old cynic you. You wouldn't catch me saying that
Honestly did you see a car drive on and check the bins out?
Car
Yep Sunday lunchtime, a blue fiat punto came on the estate turned round in William Coltman Way came out in front of us, stopped at the grit bin at the bottom of the etstate, looked in and drove back of the estate, headed up Reginald Mitchell Way, we didn't go that way so not sure where it went after then but it did not go to Focus.
