Flyers have been received by Stoke on Trent householders advertising solar-powered hot water systems. If the householder rings the comapny a salesman visits.

Exaggerated claims are made by the salesman that the system can reduce hot water bills by 75% and gas bill by 60%.

Prices charged for the system also appear to be excessive.

The householder is asked to forgo their statutory right to a seven day cooling-of period when he would have been able to cancel the agreement. This is illegal.
