Recent Burglary in John Rhodes Way
Dear Residents.
In the last 2 weeks, we have had a burglary in John Rhodes Way, and another resident has reported that a pad-lock has been removed from a garden gate. There is a good posibility that the suspects are youths, as the targets for these crimes seems to be garden sheds, and the contents, bikes etc.
As we approach the half term holidays (where has the year gone?) I would ask you all to keep an eye out on your own and your neighbours property, ans call us if you see or hear anything suspicious.
If anyone is unsure about the security of their property, and wants any advice, I can always pop round, or ask a crime reduction Officer to attend and give you a free survey. We also have a limited number of crime prevention devices at Tunstall Police Station, such as Shed Alarms and property marking pens, that can help deter criminals.
Please contact me for any further info, either via this website, or at Tunstall Police Station.
Thanks

Pens
Hi Glynn
Thanks for the update, I'll keep my eye out. I'll also do a mail out with your notice later on, about your post.
Could I possibly have a pen, I'd mark up and pass it on around the estate.
Is it best to pop up to the station and pick it up?
Cheers
Matt
Property Marking Pens
Matt.
We have loads of pens at the station. If you pop in sometime, you can take a handfull and pass some on if you like. Ask for me, but if I'm not available, just say I invited you in to get some pens, and a colleague will help you out.
The enquiry office is open to the public from 10am to 6am on weekdays.
Thanks
Glyn
Pen and Shed Alarms
Glyn anything that would help build up the NHW presence would be greatly received, if we could get a few we could put it on the newsletter and if people wanted we could distribute via that???
Steve would i am sure welcome a shed alarm as it may help his car insurance premium

Had an idea
WM Have you any of thoese little bells on springs left the ones that warn you if anyone is trying to open your bag/purse. I could put them on my tyre valves to stop my (shed) being robbed.
Razor Wire
Hmmm, do you think they have a few rolls of razor wire kicking about?
alarms for sheds and out buiidings
my son is a electrical engineer and loves visual displays -- leds or lights i have 3 sheds in the garden all wired up and a camera also 3 x alarm boxes all with lights flashing all are blue and look the part we need this due open fields at the back great for the unwanted guest - he also as 2 x flood lights and controls the lot from his bed room when he turns them all on they scare me never mind an intruder - the problem is that the planes in the sky are getting lower and lower and i hope they dont change the flight path . or we could have more than wine on the balcony if you know what i mean.
I SAY BETTER BE SAFE THAN SORRY - YOU DONT HAVE TO DO WHAT WE HAVE DONE BUT MAKE THE EFFORT AND MAKE IT HARD FOR THEM NOT EASY THATS MY MOTO.
