Doulton Figure Thefts in Stoke-on-Trent (Owl ALert)

Overnight, between Saturday night and Sunday morning, two domestic burglaries occurred where Doulton figures were stolen. These were in Heathcote Street, Saxonfields and Hampstead Grove, Trentham. In the past Doulton figures were frequently a specific target for burglary.

In more recent years burglaries involving Doulton figures have diminished. However, the advice that we have previously given holds good. Primarily, this involves ensuring that Doulton figures cannot be seen from the street. Do no not place them on window sills. Net curtains prevent people outside seeing the contents of your home. Be careful that illuminated glass cabinets do not show off collections during darkness.
