Google Wave - Googles new email, chat, collaboration software that will change the way you do business
Back in May google started a closed beta of their new real time email/communications/document tool (if you can call it that) application.
Google Wave will allow users create and invite other people to “waves”. Everyone on a wave can use richly formatted text, photos, gadgets, and even feeds from other sources on the web. They can insert a reply or edit the wave directly. It’s concurrent rich-text editing, where you see what other users on the wave are typing in real-time.
That means Google Wave is just as well suited for quick messages as for persistent content – it allows for both collaboration and communication. You can also use “playback” to rewind the wave to see how it evolved.
So if you think of a wave as an email, or a chat, or a document, which you can build on your own, or with others, in real time, then you'll see how amazing this technology is going to be.
As a remote worker, tools such as this are invaluable, you can have more than one person building a document. Imagine that in the work place? It's going to revolutionise the way we work.
