How are main roads in Tunstall #snow

That was a bit unexpected, was this snow forcast.

First the bad news, the grit has nearly all gone. As Megan Ryan told me and I don't know why, because the amount of snow we've had; "ONCE THE GRIT HAS BEEN USED, WE WON'T BE GETTING ANY MORE." So its soon back to square one.

Has any one being out this morning in Tue car. Have the main roads of tunstall been cleared. Locally the snow has started to compact and become slippy on john Rhodes way.

Snow / Roads

When we went out at 10.30am with the sledge to Focus one side each of Reginald Mitchell had been cleared, and a gritter (with a snow plough) went from one end of Reginald Mitchell to the roundabout at the top and back down the other side.

Haven't ventured any further than that and especially not in the car yet.

As for snow forecast, there was some forecast for tomorrow as Heavy Snow, which on the bbc website is still there for tomrorow and Tuesday.

Next question will be will the teachers make it in tomorrow (could this be a repeat of January) you manage to get some of the kids to school and get yourself to work, then they shut it due to teachers being unable to get in!!!!!

Oh well at least the caretakers should have something to do today,

Good forecast

Matt the forcast was spot on as I checked it out Saturday as I was planning a walk in the Peak district. Expect more later in the week.
As for the roads in Tunsall, do not worry about the snow its the pot holes that will cause you the most trouble.
