"Yahoo Shopping Protection Guarantee." Car sellers on websites such as Autotrader are advising potential buyers that although the seller lives abroad the buyer can protect their transaction by paying through the alleged Yahoo Shopping Protection Guarantee service. The buyer has to transfer the money directly into the Yahoo representative's bank account abroad before delivery of the car. No car is ever delivered. The advice is to be wary of buying high value goods over the internet when the seller is asking for the money upfront.

"Pacific Capital Resource Group" Callers receive telephone calls from a company asking them to invest in shares. The caller already has personal information, incuding full names, addresses and dates of birth. They ask for driving licence details. The company then sends paperwork using the name Pacific Capital Resource Group, based in America, asking for bank account details. Ignore this scam. Do not give out personal details and never give out bank details.
