Police update,

Glyn kindly posted an update regarding crime levels on our estate, although a few people have complained about parking on the estate.
Youths have been recorded on the park being a nuisance. Police have stepped up patrols around and this seems to have tailed off the trouble, A few ABC notices have been placed on some youths.

Bee vigilant on the estate and follow common sense on not leaving presents in view.

Speeding on the estate.
Megan has been bending ears in various departments about trying to get rumble strips on the estate, this and other issues are being followed up through various channels.

We can put posters on lampposts if we want to!

This is being followed up and a concerted effort with adjoining Residents Associations would be welcome, but there is a time delay due to meetings being overlapped, We will have to encourage this process. Tunstall North would like to join us in this campaign.

Steve Morris gave us some signs to help us in the campaign to reduce speed and increase awareness in the estate. Our thanks to Steve.

Monies unspent from our developers, Megan confirmed that the figure outstanding were pretty much accurate. £77000 is still unspent and this is reserved for maintenance over the next 10 years or so until fully spent.

Adoption same old same old…….. Megan is trying to push this forward within council officials!.

The land by the bottom of the open space on John Rhodes way floods and in the winter this obviously becomes ice. It was suggested that a land drain could be installed and Megan said she would look into this for us.

A vote was taken about becoming a residence association this Megan offered to help and guide us through this process

We need to leaflet the area informing the residents of the process and invite resident to stand for various positions….

Steve Morris commented that there is a spate of tool thefts from vans across the area, please do not leave valuables on view.

Number plate theft is on the increase worldwide….

Petrol and Diesel thefts are also on the increase
