New road layout at Tunstall's Boulevard traffic lights
Has anyone else been left scratching their heads (literally - as you should be driving) by the lights heading towards Asda...
Has anyone else been left scratching their heads (literally - as you should be driving) by the lights heading towards Asda just below the police station.
The lane structure has reverted to how it used to be, rather than having a lane for turning left, and one for straight on, it's now a free for all as it used to be.
The old system worked, it stopped the unnecessary near misses that used to occur there by taking away that option.
I dread to think what it's like at rush hour time.
If anyone knows why it's been changed please let me know, I'd love to hear the logic behind it.
Rant over.

Dogs Dinner
WM I agree its a total dogs dinner. Who ever in the city council is drawing up the road layouts for the north of the city should be either retrained or sacked. They obviously do not hold a driving licence.
road signs
Dont understand them -- its the same at Burslem lights - they are marked bus lane and when you keep RIGHT to keep clear for the bus -if a bus does stop- you cant get back in that lane, and get the guy behide you saying go turn right -but you dont wanrt to - you want to go ahead but then the cars behind the bus will not let you in . ------ GREAT
its an acc,d waiting to happen and the bad news is we have 3 more sets of lights to hanley - and the guy with the brush and paint is awating the idiot in the planning dep,t to say lets do the same at all the lights -
He must have a play station which he likes with incorrect markings on the road - this is no game ,
as this HAPPENED to you ?????

I just think they are doing
I just think they are doing it to cause accidents - then they can introduce more speed cameras, then the council can claw back some of the money it "Invested" in Icelandic Banks.
Either that or it's some total idiot that's now the road planning person and they've never been anywhere near the roads - hey, maybe the council's subcontracted it out to someone in India/Eastern Europe, wherever's the current place of choice.
