It's all good this side too. Cars still taking it slowly and some slush still on the road on Spitfire Way after the Hurricane Grove turning, but nothing that should cause any problems.

this morning at the bottom of the roundabout in the icy conditions there was a white car parked on the kerb where the black ice was.cars were sliding and had to try and miss the car. does anyone know who it belongs to and why is it parked where it is. it could have been hit this morning.

Roads and Grit
Seems like we have been a little over zealous with our use of grit as the bins were empty!
So we are all back to slipping and sliding!!!
I will try to get some grit from bins around the city on my travels today.
Just re read that and i sound like a right tramp lol digging around in bins.....

All of the dads will have to make a giant snowball and roll it around the roads, clearing them as we go.
I think Heritage Park V Swallows Rise, and we'll meet you at the roundabout.
Not sure what we'll do with the balls when we've finished, but it sounded like a good idea when I first started typing.
Staying in today
So don't know what it's like off the estate, but just watched a van drive really carefully past my house, and he was still sliding a lot.
15:15 - Roads look to be clearing up
It looks like there's some sleet coming down on John Rhodes Way, which is helping to drive the snow off.
I've just see one or two cars go up and down, and they are fairing far better than this morning.

Starting to snow a bit more heavily now...

I've just phoned the Mrs, whose popped down to Tesco (kidsgrove) ans she said it's sleet has virtually got rid of the snow.
Just our luck. Maybe it will hold out. Try and keep you posted........

This is only the opinion of someone sitting in a warm office, whose not had to drive all day.
But, the roads don't look to bad here.
