Summer Update
Sorry it's been a while since I last posted anything, but I've been on holiday, and been busy with a few other things, but I've still been around. Hope everyone is enjoying the "Barbeque Summer" we were supposed to be having - never mind.
The good news is that things have been OK during the summer months, with very few incidents of note on the Bankeyfields area. There has been one or two isolated incidents, but certainly no crime waves and nothing to concern the vast majority of residents.
You will have noticed that the traffic patrols have continued on Reginald Mitchell Way. This is a continuing strategy, and will carry on until more permanent measures can be put in place. I have been doing regular patrols myself, and trying to get the message to as many people as possible about the speeding.
One concern on the estate that a few people have mentioned, is parking. I appreciate that many households now have more than one vehicle, and parking on the street is often the only alternative, but I would ask that you be considerate towards your neighbours, do not block driveways, and be extra careful if you have to park near to a junction.
It's not a traffic hotspot on the estate, but without careful thought when parking, problems can quickly arise. Also, we've had reports of goods vehicles and HGV's parking on the estate, and this may contravene local by-laws, so if you see anything of this nature, give me a call, or call the Council, and we'll look into it further.
Hopefully it won't be this long again before my next post, and I look forward to seeing you out and about in the area.
Thanks
Glyn and Michael

Seems quite all round
Hi Glynn
Appreciate the update. It has been quite around this neck of the woods of late. Everyone must be on there holidays seeing if they can beat the fine weather were having.
I did see a HGV hurtle down John Rhodes way at 1 in the morning this week (insomnia), driver must have thought it was ok doing that speed as there was no one about.
Cheers
Matt
