Teenage loiterers!

Quick question - is anyone else plagued by a group of about five teenagers (boys and girls) on the Swallows Rise side of the estate?

These individuals loiter around the top end of the street every night then go for a wander then come back again.

They don't cause any damage (intentional) and have never said anything directly to me when I have been going about my business (not intimidated by them) BUT I am constantly aware that they are there ... the girls shriek LOUDLY, they smoke and throw fag ends in the alley way leading to the back of houses and they often swear LOUDLY to each other. They seem to be there every night - they are there NOW when it is pouring with rain shrieking at each other, it makes evenings uncomfortable especially if I haven't got the TV on to drown out the noise. I have spoken to the police/anti social behaviour people and they haven't been able to speak to these teenagers as they are never about when a patrol is done ... what would you do?????

This has changed from a quick question to a rant lol but if anyone has any ideas or suffers the same let me know!

Campaign for a youth club?

Hi Zoe

The only thing I could suggest would be to lobby the council for more youth clubs.
Cllr Megan Ryan might be of some help. Also, with Sandyford Fire Station being built, maybe we should look into the possibility of a youth club being set up there. At the last Neighbourhood Watch meeting there was a representaive from Fire Service, so maybe we can try and push this? We'd need parents backing though.

Secondly, take a look at this page, it leads you to fix my street, where you can record incidents, or situations, which are then forwarded onto the council, which helps them to build a picture of whats going on.

It doesn't have to be in the form of a complaint, just an observation.
