The man who fixed Stoke? John van de Larrschott - local council chief exec interview.
I'd just like to strongly recommend that anyone with a vested interest in this city, the service the council provide, the jobs you work in take 10 minutes to listen to this interview Pits n Pots had with the new Cheif Executive of Stoke on Trent city council.
Basically, Mr Van De Larrschott has come into the city as the new cheif, with claims that he's getting paid too much, he's not local. But when you research his record with his last job and listen to the interview, I hope your left with a sense of "he might just do it" as he not only tries to run this city, but also transform it into something we can all be proud of.

Secondly, there is a poster on the site who wrote an article on the site, Bill Crawley, who wrote a detailed article outlining how we could possibly transform Stoke-on-Trent from a place whose industry has almost died, to one whose work force can find hope again in a new industry.
