for fleas-on your pet!!!!

Bit of a naff line I know, but in this mixed hot and wet weather, parasites thrive.

Especially with the wet weather, the number of slugs and snails around is massive at present (just check your own lawn at dusk). As these carry the larval stage of Angiostrongylus vasorum (one of the lungworm species) it poses a real threat to dogs who lick, sniff, or eat slugs/snails.

Also, FLEAS are just such a nuisance at present- we are finding the our flea treatment sales have gone through the roof this last couple of weeks, so it's worth knowing that most of the good flea treatments around are capable of preventing flea infestations as well as killing fleas. Most products have an 'umbrella' effect of killing any eggs and larvae in the environment too (that means soft furnishings, bedding, carpets etc too). As 95% of the flea population is NOT on the animal, it is the bedding etc, it is important to use a long lasting, quality product.
