The government are set to introduce tough new fines on owners who allow their cats to stray, as part of a scheme that will also see stray an increase in cat wardens in the areas.
City's like Liverpool, London, Manchester and even Stoke has seen a yearly increase in complaints about cats to local councils.
The new laws will come into effect in August this years and will become part of the existing dog fouling laws.
Councils are readying PCSO's and city wardens and are hoping to have the problem in hand within the next five years.
