Well, here we go again. Personally I always considered this area to be in Tunstall, but I think actually, technically it is just outside, but only just. On the border between Tunstall and another place. I thought I would mention this now to save any arguments later. All 3 photos are of the same thing. Good Luck to all.

I wouldn't call it Middleport, but I would say it was quite near the canal.
So I'm not sure if you've got it or not.

Could you be more specific, so I can give a definite yes or no.

I took my little five year old lad down the canal from Harecastle to the start of westport lake, and not a sign of it.
Is it located near the canal at all?

You see them dotted about all over the place, but I've never noticed one that had lettering in the railings before.

Off Brownhills Rd on the road leading to Westport Lake behind what used to be Steetly brick but is now a housing estate

It is on the corner of Brownhills Road and Canal Lane, which leads to the Canal and Westport Road.
I live a few doors away from it on Brownhills Road, and was very suprised to find that the house deeds tell me I'm in Burslem!

Well done for getting it right, and double well done for sneaking in under the wire and pipping Web Monkey to the post. (Mwah ha ha ha ha) Smile
