At the moment I am Dog

At the moment I am Dog Sitting and taking the dog out on regular walks to places I normaly dont go, this has opened my eyes to just how much S**T there is around the place, I have noticed the problem does look worse when it comes to light nights/mornings I am wondering if people dont clean up in the dark the same way they do during the summer when it is visable to be seen doing the right thing.

Tunstall North R.A. have requested the pavement stencils are re-done, but the reply to that was if you want them done you do it so it does not sound to hopeful. Does anyone know of anybody being fined for dog fouling? I cant say I have ever heard of it. I did have a go at a guy once for letting his dog do his stuff outside my back gate but he just ignored me and walked away, I was so annoyed when I cleaned it up I thought of going after him and putting it in his garden but then I would have been in trouble.

The council do not have the

The council do not have the time or resources to police individuals who continue to allow their dogs to mess in public places and not clean up after it. The law needs to be as follows:

1, All dogs to be chipped by law.

2, All dogs to be insured or the owners liable for any claims for compensation if the dog causes injury or an accident.

3, It should be an offense  to be in a public space with a dog and the owner does not have poo bags in their possession. If challenged by the police or a council official.and you do not have any poo bags you should be served with an on the spot fine of £15. It would not take long for dog owners to realize that poo bags are cheaper than a fine anyone caught not cleaning up after their pet should be fined £60.

The council can't even get

The council can't even get people to pay fines or even unpaid rates, so what good would that do and with all the cuts the council are doing who would impose these fines.

This problem will not go away unless all dogs are banned from public areas (only exception - guide dogs), just like they are trying to do with smoking and drinking.

this problem is one of those

this problem is one of those  anti-social problems that can not be policed . people can spot individuals and report  those who  constantly  leave their dogs poo out on display  while they are on walks . but I'm not aware of any person having been fined  because of it.

our family  have poo-bags  in every coat pocket and and other dog  walking gear, its just  a natural action for us collect the  bags  as we leave the house with the dogs,  and to  collect the  poo once the dog have "delivered". its part of been a responsible  dog owner -

our son thinks its a disgusting action to pick up a dogs poo,- he doesn't have anything to do with care of the dogs - so he is an example of a person who  should not have  or walk any  dogs - hes ok with   cleaning up after his own  smaller pets.

when dog showing in  companion/fun or  championship shows-  owners are requested  by the  organizers to clean up after their dogs  or they can be  expelled from the show.  there is the odd occasion that  a person leaves  the offending item - but people around them are quick to point it out and  its dealt with . if the excuse  is they haven't got a poo bag-  then several people  dip into their pockets and hand out  spare bags.

the not cleaning up after your dog is a  problem  for non-dog owners as well as  responsable dog owners .

im sure if the dog had the means to  clean up  after themselves they would.
