Puppets and play at Gladstone Museum this weekend
Alongside the theatre visitors of all ages will have the chance to enjoy a range of other traditional Victorian toys and games.
Guests can play with toys such as ‘cups and balls’, skittles and Jacob’s ladders in the museum’s Doctor’s House.
From 11am until 3pm visitors can make their own moving stick puppet to take home with them for only 50p and stage their own theatrical productions.
Victorian Pastimes takes place on Saturday July 7, 2012. It is a chance to celebrate the toys which were popular in days gone by in the historic setting of the preserved pottery factory.
The shop at Gladstone also stocks traditional toys such as vintage style games, knitting dolls and an extensive range of marbles in various sizes.
