In the run up to the Queens Jubilee I think it would be good to hear from Monarchist and Republicans living in the North of Stoke-on-Trent to see what they're thoughts are, on any one subjects.
- What do you think of the queens 60 year rein?
- Is 60 years too long to lead a country? Is the Queen still current?
- How do you think the Royal family b e involved in local communities?
- Do you think the Royal Family should be scrapped altogether and make the UK a republic?

I think republicans are a bit
I think republicans are a bit misguided if they think we'll save money ditching the monarchy, do they not expect us to pay anything for a president's residence and general up keep? Or for the continual elections? I do think the royal family can and should do more to finance themselves though, Prince Charles does alright at it, the Queen holds masses of gifts and artefacts that for the most part the public never get to see, bung it all in a museum charging a nominal fee and that'd probably pay the up keep itself!
I'd sooner have any monarch no matter how 'current', than have a President Blair. And I'd rather my taxes pay for a monarchy than subsidise another political carousel. There are enough people stuffing their pockets with tax payers' money so they can further their political party or personal ambition, rather than the people they're supposed to serve.
An apolitical head of state makes us fairly different from most nations, and the longer the monarch reigns the more insight they're able to provide to those who actually do pull the strings
Wish we could entice Prince
Wish we could entice Prince Harry to do a tour of Stoke
