Stoke-on-Trent women and girls are being urged to join the fight against all cancers by entering Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life. Race for Life is an amazing women-only series of events which raises millions of pounds every year for life-saving research into 200 types of cancer – helping men, women and children across Staffordshire survive. It is non-competitive and women can choose whether to walk, jog or run the 5k route. Halfords Tour Series
Thursday 14 June, 1- 9pm
The streets of Stoke-on-Trent City Centre will once again host the action packed national cycle race, which will see elite riders go head to head against each other to become the overall champions of The Halfords Tour Series. This year, we are also proud to host the Tour Series Final, the Women’s Race, and the Tommy Godwin Team Time Trial, named after the Stoke-on-Trent cyclist who is still the World Cycling Endurance record holder. Burslem Park Grand Reopening
Saturday 23 June, 11am - 8pm
An event for all the family, celebrating the successful restoration of Burslem Park, which has been supported by a £2m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund. Attractions will include live music and dance on stage and bandstand; BMX and skate demonstrations; fairground attractions and rides; sports and craft activities for all the family including climbing wall, circus skills, capoeira, outdoor arts; food and drink, health and history walks, and many community stalls and performances.
