Stoke on Trent City Election May 2011

Over the coming weeks My Tunstall will be focusing more and more on the forth coming Stoke on Trent elections.

All elections are important, but this one is even more important that others as:

Brand new electrical wards
Single councillor wards
4 year term No ward budget to speak of
Lost council resources such as the AIT team Unprecedented council cuts this year to the tune of £35 million
Next year, expected cuts of £20 million

MyTunstall will be asking people what are their concerns for the area for the next 4 years and beyond, and also outlining the  council candidates, putting a standard set of questions to each one, and publishing election material such as voting stations, candiate flyers and so on.
This election needs to see a renewed interest in these local elections with the public. The people voted into our new ex Tunstall Wards (and now with the addition of My Burslem onto the site, some of the surrounding areas)
