Tunstall Pool was, until recently the oldest surviving Victorian swimming pool in the UK open for business, having opened to the public on the 28th July 1890. Sadly in March 2011, Stoke-on-Trent City Council decided that the pool would no longer be run by them and closed it down.
This is the story of the campaign to keep Tunstall Pool open, and the on going trials of setting a trust up to take it over from the council and run it for and by the community.
