'Road Rage' incident in Stoke

Officers from Stoke-on-Trent Local Policing Team (LPT) are appealing for witnesses after a ‘road rage’ incident in Stoke.

At approximately 5.30pm on Friday 18 May on the A50 eastbound, just after the Meir tunnel, an incident occurred between a silver Kia Sedonna car and a red sports type motorcycle.

As the Kia exited the Meir tunnel, the offender got off his bike and assaulted the 72-year-old man, who was driving the Kia, causing minor facial injuries. He got back on his bike and drove off back along the A50 eastbound.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 4882 Ian Furlong at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 576 of 18 May. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
